Facilitation Skills

Effectively lead teams, projects or meetings

Facilitation SkillsGood facilitation is often an under-appreciated skill. Most people report that they prepare much harder for a presentation than a facilitated conversation. Unfortunately, the facilitator has far less control than a presenter and requires additional skills and preparation.

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to plan and develop facilitation skills that incorporate interactive and engaging teaching methods more suited to the adult learner. Through guided practice, the participant will experience the planning and execution of a communication strategy to enhance audience engagement.

In this session, we will learn how presentation differs from facilitation and when it is appropriate to use each skill. By understanding the unique needs of an adult learner, we can explore the four main ways to communicate a message and will provide tips and tricks for successful facilitation even in virtual settings.
